Frequently Asked Questions

I am tone deaf, can I still have a lesson?

Absolutely! You are likely not as tone deaf as you think.

Will I have to sing by myself?

No. I will never make you sing alone unless you are ready (but I bet you will be by the end of your first lesson)!

I have an audition next week, can I have a one off lesson?

If I have a slot in the schedule, of course! But don't expect miracles this close to audition day. I can give you audition tips and some insight into what you should prioritise this late in the game, but it is far better to get a few lesson well in advance of your audition, than hope for a last minute hail mary.

I was told I couldn't sing when I was a kid. Can you help me?

Definitely. Many of my students have had a similar experience in their childhood, and it's so sad! Come to a lesson and I'll help you rediscover your confidence and joy of singing.

What happens in a lesson?

First, I'll get you to sing some scales or an easy song (not by yourself unless you want to), to get a sense of your voice and how you sound. Then, we will explore what your voice can do and hopefully try out a song before we finish. Trust me, it's a lot of fun and you will leave feeling very motivated to give it a go at home.

I'm 50/60/73/89/110 years old. Am I'm too old to start lessons now?

Nope! You are never to old to start or restart. Our voices change so much over our life times, and singing is for everyone. Don't put limits on yourself!

I have been cast in a show and need help with my music, can you help?

Absolutely! Get in touch and we will work together to figure out how to get you where you want to be.
